<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; visibility: visible;"><span style="visibility: visible;">我们用功的法子就是单举一句话头，昼夜六时，如流水一般，不要令他间断，要灵明不昧，了了常知，一切凡情圣解，一刀两断。</span></p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">古云：“学道犹如守禁城，紧把城头战一场。不受一番寒彻骨，怎得梅花扑鼻香。”这是黄檗禅师说的，前后四句有二种意义。前两句譬喻，说我们用功的人，把守这句话头，犹如守禁城一样，任何人不得出入，这是保守得非常严密的。因为你我每人都有一个心王，这个心王即是第八识。八识外面还有七识、六识、前五识等。前面那五识。就是那眼、耳、鼻、舌、身五贼，六识即是意贼，第七识即是末那，它（末那）一天到晚，就是贪着第八识见分为我，引起第六识，率领前五识，贪爱色、声、香、味、触等尘境，缠惑不断，把八识心王困得死死的，转不过身来。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">所以我们今天要借这句话头（金刚王宝剑），把那些劫贼杀掉，使八识转过来成为大圆镜智，七识转为平等性智，第六识转为妙观察智，前五识转为成所作智。但是，最要紧的就是把第六识和第七识先转过来，因为它有领导作用。它的力量，就是善能分别计量。现在你们作诗作偈、见空见光，就是这两个识在起作用。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">这个是过年。过年呢？就是要化灾，要吉利，样样好。和尚呢？天天是好日子，没有哪天不好。人也一样，个个都是佛，不管男的女的、老的少的，都是佛。没有过年过节，没有这个事！世间法就是有荣华富贵，有吉凶祸福，有年、月、日、时，有张三李四。佛法也是一样，恒顺众生，我们也有年、月、日、时。人家过年，晚上在家里团圆、守岁，烧起大火，在屋里饮酒，讲故事一晚通宵。好多故事，小孩子听老人讲故事，讲的是津津有味，听的是高高兴兴，听了还想听，讲了一个还要讲，接着讲，讲故事，讲好笑的。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">和尚过年不一样，过去的祖师把生死比喻过年，人要死的时候叫“过年关”，过去的生死关，就叫过年关。实际上，过年是有钱人过年，没钱人过荒。旧社会没有饭吃，找人家借谷；没有钱用，找人借钱；死了人，借钱葬父母；没有钱办喜事，还要借钱办喜事；有病没有钱，要借钱医病。所以借来借去，借了许多债，过了年就要还债。没有钱怎么还债？那就跑去躲债，到亲戚朋友家躲债。讨债的坐在家里等，坐到半夜还等不回来，没办法，算了算了，回去了。有的讨债的好厉害，拿一把剪刀，不给钱就剪喉咙，剪死人家，三十晚上割死人家，那就不好搞，所以叫过年关。穷人过关好可怜的，有钱人过年杀猪宰羊好舒服，好远都跑回来过年。有钱的过年，没钱的过关。和尚过年，每年总结经验，这一年怎么样，有多少收获，有多少过错，又过了一年。生死无常，我今天感觉会死，头昏得要死，现在讲话没有死的样子，真的会死。坐在这里死掉了多快活！他又不死，这个关就不好过。过去祖师把生死关作为年关：三十晚上来了，死起来怎么样？这是让出家人时时刻刻不忘用功。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">禅堂楼上、鼓楼上有好多人打烟花、打灯花，搞什么名堂？世间人如此，一个浪费钱，一个不安全，火到处闪、到处掉，烧起来那就糟糕了，就出问题了。你跑来跑去打，这么积极，你修行有这么积极，我不相信不能了生死，生死难了，是因为道心难发这个习气毛病。三十晚上要拜通宵，要守岁。过了一天就少了一天，过了一年就老了一年，这个事是火烧眉毛了，应当如救头燃。经上说：“是日已过，命亦随减，如少水鱼，斯有何乐？大众当勤精进，如救头燃，但念无常，慎勿放逸。”应该有这样的精神才对。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">小孩子只要大人带，年纪大一点要带他们，带他们好好地用功，好好地读书。现在修行、了生死，真是个大问题。今天有人写信来，他说看藏经，这么多藏经，从哪里看起不知道，三藏十二部从哪里看起都不知道。如果真正需要了生死，只为自己了生死，那简单，念句“阿弥陀佛”，不就是了生死？念得一心不乱，心不离佛，佛不离心，还有什么生死？那就不能打爆竹。打爆竹，心就是爆竹，不是佛，不能了生死；如果你拜佛的话，那心即是佛，佛即是心，哪有不了生死的？如果要弘法利生，那就看藏经，研究教理。我们这里年轻人多，年老的少，年轻人不要自私自利，还是要多看经书，多懂道理，不懂道理不行。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">现在年老的人，有的还是不知怎么用功。我今天问某某师：“你的病好了没有？”他说：“不行，不行，没有好。”我建议他到我那里去。什么原因？他不是不用功，一天到晚在屋里念佛。为什么业障不能消？不懂什么叫用功。用功不得法，所以天天在这里念，念来念去还是不行，还是业障不除。了生死很难，他不懂得为什么一天到晚念佛、拜佛病还是不好，所以用功不容易，我们不要把了生死这个问题看得太简单。不会用功，还是成问题；用功得法，心如虚空。要把这些是是非非、尘劳妄想全部消灭，要放下，放掉下来。要不然，人在拜佛，实际上你心里还没有拜佛，心里没用功，这个就成问题。所以，你们每个人自己用功夫要总结经验。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2.1111em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">老年人最好念“阿弥陀佛”，念兹在兹。心里是佛，佛不离心，总在念，余下的事什么都不要想它，这就是佛。管你那么多！什么业？什么障？不要管它。老虎要吃你，就让它吃掉，怕什么？老虎是假老虎，没有真老虎，不是真的，用不着吓得要死。所以真正的心，用在佛上头，心放在佛上头，什么都不要怕。鬼来魔来，佛来菩萨来，都不要理它！老老实实念一句“阿弥陀佛”，还有什么？除此以外还有什么？</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;box-sizing: border-box;">“第二、是受戒的基础。”<span style="text-indent: 2em;box-sizing: border-box;">我们在家弟子要受五戒、八关斋戒也好；出家人受沙弥十戒，包括比丘戒、菩萨戒也好。你不皈依，你受什么戒？你都不信仰佛、法、僧三宝，你干嘛受戒？受戒的目的就是告诉你，哪些事情该做，哪些事情不该做。是谁讲的？是佛、法、僧三宝讲的！你不皈依，你能确认这些真理，应该这样做、不应该那样做的吗？你根本不知道！受戒的基础，就是没有皈依，根本不得戒！所以，受戒的戒体就是“皈依”。你为什么要皈依？是因为你要皈依佛法僧三宝！要按照三宝的指导做，这是皈依的戒体。</span></p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我们怎么样会有好东西呢？好的缘起。好的因缘就现好的现象，不好的因缘就现不好的现象。明白真理的人，好与坏都不会执着，因为它当下生、当下灭。我们要继续好，就要创造好的因缘。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我们现在有钱有财富，能不能代表我们明年还是有财富？能不能代表下一生有钱有财富？我们有钱有财富是以前财布施的结果。如果我们现在不好好布施，不好好修，能不能保证我们明年或将来、下一世还有财富？我们要明白它是无常的、变化的、靠不住的。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">为什么会有财富？因为“如是因、如是果”。财富哪里来？缘起故。什么缘起？最主要的因缘是什么？财布施，现出有财富的果报。我们还会不会翘尾巴？会不会花天酒地？会不会吃喝嫖赌？吃喝嫖赌，不行善，不积德，不做好事，不做财布施，下辈子变穷光蛋。我现在没有钱，一贫如洗，这是什么原因？缘起故。以前不做好事，吝啬，不肯财布施，所以贫穷，饭都吃不上。但是这个会不会变？是永远的贫穷吗？不是。现在好好财布施，这个贫穷会不会变？肯定会变的。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">只要明白缘起的道理、无常的道理，我们好了，不会翘尾巴，它会变。怎么变？缘起变。找到“因”，在“因”上努力，行善积德，财布施。我们不在结果上求，果都已经成熟了。比如我们说一棵苹果树成熟了，结的果又苦又酸。果已经成熟了，要改变就很难了。那么怎么样改变？这个酸的苹果会不会存在很长时间？放一段时间会烂会消失的，它会变的。但如果还不好好管理，下一次结的果还会是酸的，还是结不好的果。我们要是好好管理，肯定会变的。我们好好行善做好事，果报就肯定会变的。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">当我们学了佛法，明白了一切都是“业感缘起”，在我们处于失败或不如意的时候就不会绝望，就不会跳楼。因为明白一切法都是缘起的，会变的。变的规律在什么地方？我们抓住缘起，也就是业果的道理。我们只要改变业，果报就变。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">一切都在变，是必然的规律。好的、坏的都在变。但好是向更好的方向变，还是向坏的方向变？坏的向更坏的方向变，还是向好的方向变？这靠什么？靠缘起，靠业，“业感缘起”。我们明白了这个道理，是不是掌握了转变命运的钥匙？我们学佛就得到现实的好处。我们再更深入地明白即生即灭，当下生、当下灭。我们说，这都是幻相，当下生当下灭，刹那生刹那灭。下一个念头怎么变，就是缘起。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我们真的从念头上能够变，我们的果报马上就变。外相上不一定能马上变，至少我们的心当下就变，我们的感受就变。如果我们不懂得业果的道理，就会认为别人没有道理，来欺负自己、折磨自己，认为别人不该如此对待自己，“这家伙是坏蛋……”我们在这一刹那的感受是很难以接受的。因为我们不懂得别人这样对自己，就是自己以前造不好的业，是以前自己伤害过别人，所以现在受到别人这样伤害的果报。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">
<p style="text-indent: 2em; white-space: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">不明白的时候，无明，继续造业、嗔恨。不断地重复无明观念，那么缘起就不会变，还是受苦。要是明白了这个道理，知道是自己造的业不好。自己改变下一念，是自己以前曾伤害过他，要忏悔业障，从内心里真心忏悔，我们的内心就可以接受业果的现实，这就变了。内心里就觉得非常清凉。不是这样就没办法改变自己的念头。即使我们看起来好像很有道德观念，很大气，很能包容，“宰相肚里好撑船”。其实还是认为自己毫无问题，是别人的问题，是别人不对。嗔恨心还是甩不掉。我们不从缘起上变，不从业上变，我们的嗔恨心还是变不了。内心里还是苦的。难受。受不了！如果我们从缘起上变，明白是自己的问题不是别人的问题，是自己以前造业伤害了别人。不仅不责怪别人、不对别人起仇恨，还好好地忏悔改正、不再伤害对方、慈悲对待对方。这样，业就变了，心里就清凉自在了。念头的生，接着是念头的灭，这就是念头的“即生即灭”。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; text-align: left; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">说到佛法，如来所说一大藏教，无非为拔济众生。而法门虽多，总不出戒定慧三学。即所谓由戒生定，因定发慧。所以欲求获得自利方便，亦须以戒为首要。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; text-align: left; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我们为佛弟子的人，应本着如来的大悲心肠，对于佛的净戒，处处要有“如临深渊，如履薄冰”的战兢精神，一点不容忽略。我们既了知戒能生定，定可发慧，定慧圆融，就可以显发如来藏的本有光明，了知心佛众生，三无差别。能了达释尊的清净妙理，如是则行住坐卧，处事接物，都圆融无碍了。</p>
<p style="text-indent: 2em; text-align: left; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">但是画饼不能充饥，解要圆，行要方，必须照着释尊的教法去实行，方能达到目的。释尊所说的戒很多，就是沙弥十戒，比丘二百五十戒，比丘尼三百四十八戒，能各自实行，却也并不难。戒又有大乘戒与小乘戒之别，然小乘即是大乘的体，大乘即是小乘的用。只要能守持佛的净戒，自然不定而自定了。</p>

<p style="text-indent: 2em; text-align: left; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">我希望各位都能依照三学去实行。戒就是人人修行的途径。我们无始以来的烦恼造种种业，也非戒、定不能拔出。故《楞严经》云：“唯杀盗淫，三为根本。”我们要斩除这些烦恼，也就体同诸佛。故古云：“信手拈来，皆成妙用。”又言:“溪声尽是广长舌，山色无非清净身。”而众生之所以不得悟入者，皆由杀盗淫等烦恼所系缚，把我们本有的光明遮蔽了，死死生生，沉沦苦海，不断地在三界流转。是故释尊用多种方便，开发我们即人成佛的大道，离生死，到涅槃。</p>
